About ZIANA

Product description

ZIANA Gel is an effective topical treatment for acne that is approved to treat mild, moderate, and severe acne in patients 12 years of age and older.

ZIANA Gel combines two commonly prescribed acne-treating ingredients:

  • an antibiotic; and
  • a topical retinoid, which is a derivative of vitamin A.

These two demonstrated acne-fighters provide one effective treatment option in one convenient-to-use gel. ZIANA Gel is specifically designed with tolerability in mind.1

Indication

ZIANA Gel acne medication treats mild, moderate, and severe acne in patients 12 years or older. This means that ZIANA can be an effective prescription for acne in terms of clearing and reducing pimples and nodules as well as whiteheads and blackheads.

An effective treatment for acne depends on the type and severity of your condition.2 See About Acne, and ask your dermatologist if ZIANA Gel is the right acne treatment for you.

Dosing

ZIANA Gel is an easy-to-use prescription for acne that is applied once a day, at bedtime. Many patients' acne continues to improve week after week, up to 12 weeks.1

Before using ZIANA Gel at bedtime, wash your face gently with a mild soap and warm water, then pat the skin dry. Apply a pea-size amount of ZIANA to your fingertip and spread it over your face, gently smoothing it into your skin. Do not get ZIANA in your eyes or mouth, on your lips, on the corners of your nose, or on open wounds. Do not use too much ZIANA, and do not apply it more than once a day.1

ZIANA Gel

During the day, apply a sunscreen to your face, and reapply during the day as needed. Avoid excessive exposure to the sun, wind, and cold.1
